QUICK CLIP CHALLENGE -  Getting to know Yew.  7 Large Yew Trees, Clip and transform the tree into a topiary that tells a story about you in 4 hours.

MAIN CHALLENGE - Classic Carousel.  Create your own fantastical version of a carousel creature in the mosaic pave method in 10 hours.

EPISODE #2: Sod and the City.                                    6 Left.

      It is a rainy Day.

DAY 1:

CHALLENGE - Sodding.  Designing and building your own HGTV-worthy Living Room from organic materials.  Build a Sofa.  Working in teams & Marie Danielle gets to pick the teams.  Then, individually build an accompanying piece of furniture of your choice to accompany it.  10 hours over 2 days

DAY 2:

TWIST - Create a winning topiary light fixture in the remaining time.

JUDGING:

TOP: Marie Danielle/Ryan

     MASTER OF THE WEEK - Ryan.

BOTTOM:  Ed/Gibson  & Meghan/Juan

ELIMINATED: Juan.

EPISODE #3: A Night at the Museum.                               5 Left.

CHALLENGE - Create a sculpture representing five exhibits that could be on display data National History Museum.  Create a large eye-catching topiary piece that must be 6 ft. high and apply a mosaic technique in 10 hours over 2 days.  

RYAN - Dinosaurs, GIBSON - Ancient Culture, MEGHAN - Early Mammals, COWBOY - Planet Earth, and MARIE DANIELLE - Ocean Life.

   DAY 2:  TWIST - Add a surprise plant species to incorporate into the design.

JUDGING:

 TOP 2 - Ryan & Meghan.

       WINNER - Meghan - The Wholly Mammoth.

 BOTTOM 2 - Ed & Marie Danielle.

ELIMINATED:  Ed.

EPISODE #4: Tee-Rific Topiaries.                                        4 Left.

CHALLENGE - Design and Construct your mini topiary Master Golf course for mini golf.  Build an imaginative obstacle that makes the course impressive colorful and functional by creating a unique path for the golf ball.  DAY 1:

Concentrate on the color:

      ORANGE - Marie Danielle                                        YELLOW - RYAN

     PINK - RYAN                                                              PURPLE - MEGHAN.

DAY 2:  No Twist.

JUDGING:

- Meghan - Octopus.  Hard to Play.  Took up the whole course.

- Gibson - Paisley's Dollhouse.    Didn't recognize it as a house.

- Ryan - Teddy Bear.  The ball went thru & the bear was colorful.

- Marie Danielle - Princess Garden Gnome.  Was Very Hard to play.  The slope was too high.

TOP 2 - Meghan & Ryan.

        WINNER - Ryan.

BOTTOM 2 - Gibson & Marie Danielle.

ELIMINATED - Gibson.  I thought Marie Danielle should be eliminated and could not play the whole.

EPISODE #5:  Bust a Move.                                     3 Left.

                    Semifinals

DAY 1:

CHALLENGE - Create a larger-than-life human form caught in the middle of dramatic action.  Must be at least 6 ft high in hours.  Ryan has an extra 1/2 hour for being the winner of the last challenge.

          Grand Finale $50.000  Meghan & Ryan

FINAL CHALLENGE - Must include ALL the techniques and talents creating an entire topiary garden which includes: at least 1 character to live inside your garden, a living wall, a decoration piece, and a water element in15 hours.  DAY 1.  Start Working.

DAY 2:  A Twist:  Work on a Yew Tree in your design.

DAY 3:  Another Twist - On the Steps of the Garden - Decorate it.
